CHARSADDA - A policeman was killed when unknown gunmen attacked a police checkpost on Tuesday morning.
According to details, unidentified car riders sprayed bullets at a police checkpost located in Kala Dheri locality of Charsadda and fled from the scene.
As a result of firing a cop identified as Azmat Ali was killed on the spot while others remained safe.
Heavy contingent of police cordoned off the area after the firing incident and started search operation for the culprits.
Sources said that the attackers could be drugs traffickers or belonged to the timber mafia.
