Charsadda reach to 9th NBP Inter-District Soccer q-finals

PESHAWAR (APP): Charsadda took berth into the quarter-finals after securing victory against Abbottabad in the pre-quarter-finals match of the 9th NBP Inter-District Football Championship being played here at Sumbal Khan Football ground, Qayyum Sports Complex on Monday.
The match was started on fast tempo and soon it took momentum when both Charsadda and Abbottabad team shattered each other territory. Charsadda first raided on Abbottabad defence but the left foot kick attempt of Imran missed went wide from
the goal-post.
It was in the 13th minute when Charsadda took the lead through left winger Munawar Shah on the field attempt and thus gave his team 1-0 lead. Right winger Israr Ullah, who also delighted the sitting spectators were his run down the flank, travelled past two defenders before slamming in a beautiful and angular goal to make
the tally 1-0.
The goal really gave a boost to Charsadda forwards line that made four more attacks but despite combine moves, the Charsadda forwards were failed to score any goal. On the other hand, Abbottabad also made two quick attacks but it were not counterproductive and thus the first-half was ended in favour of Charsadda at 1-0.
After the resumption of the second-half Abbottabad managed their position and in the very outset of the first session succeeded in leveling the tally 1-1 through Tanveer Ali on the field attempt. Tanveer Ali, an unmarked striker, got the ball from the left winger Muhammad Ibrahim and did nothing wrong in dispatching it into the net to equalize the tally 1-1.
When the two teams were tied 1-1, both Charsadda and Abbottabad made incisive rallies of attacks but they were failed till the end of the first 60th minute play.
It was 61st minute when Charsadda\'s left winger Munawar Shah, this time score a superb goal from the 25-yard distance. Munawar Shah got a foul kick, just in front of the goal-mouth and saw his forceful kick into the left corner to make the tally 2-1. After 2-1, Charsadda fully dominated the match and did not allow Abbottabad players to maneuver with free hands. Thus Charsadda won the match by 2-1 and moved into the quarter-finals. The match was supervised by FIFA referee Dilawar Khan while Zahid Ullah and Allauddin acted as deputy referees and Atta Ullah was the match commissioner.
