JI chief wants tit for tat response to Indian aggression

CHARSADDA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq on Friday urged the government to give a tit for tat response to the India aggression on the working boundary and the Line of Control (LoC).

Talking to party’s office-bearers here, he said that over a dozen innocent civilians were killed as a result of the firing from across the border. “The government should give a befitting response to Indian violation of ceasefire and pounding the working boundary and LoC,” he added.

Criticising Minister for Defense Khwaja Asif for his late reaction to the Indian aggression, the JI chief said “The statement of the defense minister after four days of Indian shelling of Pakistanis border villages is of grave concern,” he added.

He said the late response by the defense ministry had damaged the Pakistan position on the issue. “The Indian government had summoned Pakistani ambassador and blamed the violation on us,” he added.

Sirajul Haq said the country was heading towards destruction due the wrong decisions and flawed policies of the rulers. He said the puppets of United States of America had been imposed on Pakistan for 67 years.

He said the JI was striving to make an end to the system based on injustice and inequality. “The poor people are striving to make ends meet while the pets of the incompetent rulers are eating biscuits and fruit,” he added.Regarding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek sit-ins, the JI suggested to the government and agitating parties to sacrifice their ego to find a solution to the issue.
