About VSO:

VSO has been working in Pakistan since 1987.  During the past 25 years, VSO Pakistan has engaged the skills and expertise of international volunteers, primarily to support education, participation and governance. These experts in their field were placed with a diverse range of partner organisations across Pakistan to support development efforts across the country.
 
 
 
 
 
Purpose:
 
For the purpose of building capacity of local volunteers on Peace-building, VSO Pakistan  will conduct a Training of Trainers and train a pool of volunteers who will further train 160 local youth volunteers (LYV). A training manual needs to be developed for the purpose of conducting Training of Trainers. This training manual will be provided to the volunteer Master Trainers to use as a resource to deliver trainings to LYV. The manual will be printed in both Urdu and English and will serve as a resource for VSO future programming.  The resource material from the manual will also be compiled in the shape of guide books which will be provided to LYVs to raise awareness and promote peace in the region.
 
 
 
Main tasks required for the assignment:
 
Compile a training manual in English and Urdu based on review and recommendation from VSO Pakistan. The manual should give details of training modules which will include session plan methodology, illustrations, time distribution and resources required. The resource material for reading in the manual will be separately printed in the form of guide books to be used by the 160 LYVs for awareness creation.
 
 
 
After review and approval from VSO Pakistan
 
·         Print 50 manuals in English
 
·         Print 50 manuals in Urdu
 
·         Print 300 guide books in Urdu
 
 
 
Requirements:
 
·         More than 5 years demonstrated experience designing manuals
 
·         Prior Experience in development of material on issues related to conflict resolution and peace-building.
 
·         More than 5 years experience conducting trainings in the development sector with experience working on the theme of this manual.
 
·         Awareness of security context and conflict scenario within Pakistan.
 
·         Relevant educational background of key personnel involved in the process.
 
 
 
Consultant should send their expression of interest to VSO Pakistan with following details:
 
·         Detailed methodology for carrying out the assignment. ( 3 pages maximum)
 
·         Detailed budget required for the accomplishment of assignment.
 
·         Short Resume of the key Personnel involved in the process. (One pager resume for individual)
 
·         List of prior assignments conducted on peace-building or related themes.  (2 pages maximum)
 
·         Organization profile in case of registered organizations. (2 pages maximum)
